  1. On June 18th my family and I went to the zoo. My favorite animals were the monkeys with red hair!My other favorite animal was the gorillas. My little sister Kelly was afraid of them. There was a really ,really big gorilla and it looked sad because it was locked inside his exhibit. Later on the gorilla laid down to take a nap. It's a lot of fun going to the zoo to see the different animals, but at the same time I feel bad for them that they are locked up in their cages.

  2. Gorillas are really amazing - don't they have expressive faces? I remember seeing Massa the gorilla at the Philadelphia Zoo. He lived to be very old and there's a statue of him there now. I haven't been to the zoo in a few years - maybe I'll get there this summer. I'm looking forward to seeing the new baby elephant in Animal Kingdom.

  3. My family and I went to Wildwood for BeachBlast on June 25 and we stayed there for the weekend. It was so fun! My soccer team one a game, lost a game, and tied a game. We also went to the beach and we went on the Board Walk. I went on a lot of rides! I was sad when we left.

  4. My family and I went to Sea Isle City and we went on the beach and went boogie-boarding. I also went to the arcade and won a few prizes. I also went kayaking and I a huge wave came one time and I flipped out of the kayak when the wave crashed. I had a great time!

  6. Dan - kayaking is something I've always wanted to try. Kayaking in the ocean is especially adventurous - sounds like you had a great time!

  8. Last night at my uncle Kevin's 4th of July party, we played wiffleball & vollyball. When the adults were playing wiffleball, I was the water girl. I cheered for my Daddy's team. They losted. Bummer. We played a little bit of soccor against the adults. WE WON!!! Then wew played dodgeball againt my ONE uncle! we won... Then they put up the vollyuball net and we played. We lost by one point. I was the youngest person playing, AND I got the most points off of serves. I was the player of the game was what the other players said! On our caride home, my sister was screaming all the way home. What a night! From, Ashley

  9. I was just at Ocean City, New Jersey with my whole family. It was so fun on the beach, especially since my grandmom rented a wheelchair that can go on the beach. She hasn't been on the beach in 20 YEARS! She was so happy. I also found a lot of small conch shells with my mom. Then, I dug a big hole and found a big conch shell, but it had a little hole in it. It was so fun!

  10. I was also at Ocean City a couple days ago with my cousins at my Uncle Burnie and Aunt Linda's Beach house. When I was leaving, my cousins were crying. Aww. That made me cry. The next day I went to the Camden Aquaium for shark-week. How cool?

  15. Jolie, I'm so glad you are all ok! Remember when we studied hurricanes? Learning about them in books is a lot different than actually being in one! I'm sure this is one vacation you will not forget!
