I used the strategy Guess and Test. Then I used what we learned in math, about measurments to figure out how many feet and yards tall each character was. My solution was that Naveen was 2ft. 24in. 0yd. tall, Cindy and Belle were 10ft. 120in. 3yd. tall, Eric was 6ft. 72in. 2yd. tall, and Charming was 3ft. 36in. 1yd. tall.

ReplyDeleteI used the strategy guess and test. I put Cindy and Belle as 5 feet, Naveen as 5 feet, Eric as 9 feet, and Charming as 7 feet. I got 31 after adding. As yards they are 10 yards, as inches they are 372 inches. I miltiplied to get inches and divided to get yards.
ReplyDeleteFor the math problem I used Guess and Test. To figure how much feet they were I just guessed how much feet they were until it added up to 31 ft. I got 10 ft. for Cindy and Belle, 5 ft. for Eric, 4 ft. for Charming, and 2 ft. for Naveen. To figure out how many inches in 31 ft. I did 31 multiplied by 12 and I got 93 inches. For Cindy and Belle I got 26 in, Eric 15 in, Charming 14 in, and Naveen 12in. For the yards I got 3 yds for Cindy and Belle, 1 yd for Eric, 1 yd for Charming, and 0 yds for Naveen.
ReplyDeleteThe stategy I used was guest and test.First I wanted to get as close as I can. Second I found the answer that fit all the clues. Finally I got the correct answer 31ft. For Charming I got 2ft. for Belle and Cindy I got 10ft. for Eric I got 8ft. and for Naveen I got 1ft. I added all them up. Charming's in. was 24in. and 0yd. Cindy and Belle was 120in. and 3yd. 1ft. Eric was 96in. andd 2yd. 2ft.and for Naveen was 12in. 0yd.
ReplyDeletei solved it by adding their hights together. i got it on my first try. after that i multiplied their hight into inches and yards. the numbers i added were 5,+4,+8,+8,+7,=31

ReplyDeleteI used the strategy guess and test. It took a very long time but I finally got it. Cindy and Belle are 8 1/2 feet. Charming is 5 feet tall. Eric is 6 feet tall and Naveen is 3 feet tall. Then I turned the feet into inches. Cindy and Belle are 102 in. Charming is 60 in. tall. Eric is 72 in. tall and Naveen is 36 in. tall. Then we had to turn the feet to yards. Cindy and Belle are are 2 yards and 2 feet. Charming is 1 yard and 2 feet. Eric is 2 yards and Naveen is 1 yard.

ReplyDeleteI solved the problem by doing the strategy of guess and test. I first found out how many inches they all are. Cindy and Belle are both 96 inches. I found out both of them by guessing that the both were 8 feet. So I did 8 multiplied by 12 and I got 96. So Cindy and Belle are both 96 inches. Then I guessed how tall Eric is in inches. I got 6 feet so I did 12 multiplied by 6 and got 72. So Eric is 72 inches tall. Then I found out how many feet Charming is. So I guessed that he was 5 feet. Then I did 12 multiplied by 5 and got 60. Now I am guessed how many feet Naveen was. I guessed she was 4 feet tall. So then I did 12 multiplied by 4 and got 48. So Naveen is 48 inches. Then I found out how many yards everyone is. I multiplied all of the feet by 3.
ReplyDeleteI solved this problem by making a chart. The strategy I used was guess and test. When I made the chart I started with ft. I started with Eric because I knew he was taller than Charming and Naveen, but shorter than Cindy and Belle. I figured out that Eric was 2 yd. because he was 6ft. tall and 72 in.Naveen was 1 yd. 1 ft. because he was 4 ft. and 1 yd. 2 ft. and 48 in.

I used the guess and test strategy.It took a while but I think I figured it out.In feet Cindy and Belle are 10 feet and Eric is 5 feet. Naveen is 2 feet and Charming is 4 feet. All the numbers added up to 31 feet. In inches Cindy and Belle are 120 inches and Eris is 60 inches. Naveen is 24 inches and Charming is 48 inches. In yards Cindy and Belle are 2 yards and Eric is 1 yard. Naveen isn't a yard but she is 24 inches. Charming is 1 yard. I came up with the total

I estimated and estimated, andon my 3rd try, I had my answer! To get the inches, I multiplied everyone's height by 12. To get the yards,I divided their heights by 3. Finally, here are my results. Cindy and Belle were both 7 ft., 84 in., and 2yd. Eric was 6ft. 6in., 78in., and 2yd. Charming was 6ft., 72in., 2yd. Naveen was 4ft. 6in., 54in., and 1 yd.

I used the stratagy guess and test. I divided 31 divided by 5 and I got 6. So I knew everyones height was around 6ft. Just like Zack did. I just keept guessing till I got it right. So on my 5th try I got it right. The paper said Cindy and Belle were the same height and they were both 7ft,96in,and 2yd. Eric was 6ft,72in, and 2yd. Prince Charming was 5ft,60in, and 1yd. But last but not least Naveen was 4ft,48in, and 1yd. To figure that out I made a chart.

ReplyDeleteTori, your answer was clear and understandable, but some of the clues were off. If I remember correctly Eric was shorter than Cindy and Belle. Another thing it told us to do was to see how tall EACH charcter was in yards and inches. I don't think it said to see how tall they were altogther. But I could be wrong. Other than that it was a good answer.
